Belize Bank International Limited (BBIL) recently participated in a high-level engagement with Finance Belize, the national agency tasked with promoting and developing the financial services sector. The meeting was attended by Filippo Alario, Chairman and CEO of The Belize Bank Limited, and Marcus Samuel, Managing Director of BBIL, alongside Hero Balani, CEO of Finance Belize, who provided an overview of the organization’s mandate and strategic priorities.

The discussions focused on key opportunities to grow Belize’s international financial services sector, emphasizing BBIL’s commitment to providing world-class banking solutions. Areas highlighted included:
Showcasing International Banking Services: BBIL provides access to credit facilities, multi-currency accounts, certificates of deposit, and other services designed to meet the needs of international and corporate clients.
Leveraging Emerging Opportunities: The potential for growth in #Fintech, #CorporateServices, and #Insurance through the recently established BB Insurance was discussed as a key area for innovation and expansion.
Promoting Belize as a Financial Hub: Both parties explored strategies to position Belize as a globally compliant and competitive international financial center, attracting new investment and strengthening the country’s financial ecosystem.
Also present at the meeting were Ester Flores, Operations Manager at BBIL, Solangel Vasquez, Operations Manager at Finance Belize, and Andrea Gallaty, Marketing and Communications Officer at Finance Belize.
